The
route now enters the valleys of the Leno torrent, that represents
the third phase of the proposed itinerary, touching the three
administrative municipalities of the area. The course remains
on the margins of the Pasubio summit.
From Serrada (1250 m) take the provincial road no. 2 to reach
Piazza, the seat of the Terragnolo municipality. Proceed along
the Borcola provincial road no. 138 to the hamlet of Gerioli
(751 m), where nearby the interesting FLORA-FAUNAL AREA
OF MASO S. GIUSEPPE has recently been set up. The next
part of this leg takes you along the north face of the Pasubio
range, characterized by the Muga Bianca biotope, that represents
the southern limit of the growth of the Swiss stone pine in
Trentino, and the pastures of Malga Sarta (1295 m), of Malga
Bisorte (1563 m), of Malga Campoviso (1710 m), of Malga Fratom
(1748 m), of Malga Costoni (1637 m) (summer refreshment point)
and finally of Malga Valli, a popular restaurant open all
year round (1514 m). The road descends to the local road that
circumvents the Monte Pazul and reaches the hamlet of Boccaldo
(662 m) in the municipality of Trambileno. You then reach
the hamlet of Pozzacchio with the small "MUSEO DEL
FORTE" (fort museum) (792 m), and the nearby "FORTE
POZZACCHIO" (882 m - go equipped with a torch for
the internal visit). The fortification is entirely excavated
in the rock and, with the opposite "FORTE DI MATASSONE",
was the defence line of the Vallarsa. A narrow mule track
descends to the hamlet of Valmorbia (643 m) in the municipality
of Vallarsa. Proceed along the state road no. 46 towards Passo
Pian delle Fugazze until the hamlet of Foxi (647 m) where
this stage ends.
A variant offers a climb from Serrada to the "FORTE
DOSSO DELLE SOMME" (1670 m) along the military road
(SAT trail 136), returning to the main route after the hamlet
of Zoreri (820 m). |
